Boysun Bahori — A Folklore Festival in the Surkhandarya Mountains
The Boysun Bahori ("Spring of Baysun") festival takes place in the mountainous Surkhandarya region — one of Uzbekistan's most authentic areas. Boysun is a UNESCO Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage for its ancient traditions preserved since antiquity. Ritual songs, dances, kurash wrestling, and horseback games come alive in the mountain villages.
