International Crafts Festival in Kokand
The Kokand International Crafts Festival is a unique biennial event gathering the finest artisans from Uzbekistan and abroad. Kokand, the former capital of the Kokand Khanate, is famous for centuries-old craft traditions: ceramics, wood carving, weaving, gold embroidery and jewelry making. At the Khudayar Khan Palace, visitors can watch masters at work and try pottery, suzani embroidery or copper chasing themselves.
